All our herbs are organic, ethically grown and sustainably sourced. 100% USDA certified and kosher product.

Product Description: Mullein (Verbascum thapsus) is a biennial herb native to Europe and Asia. The leaves and flowers of mullein contain saponins, flavonoids, and mucilage, which give the herb its characteristic properties and make it useful in a variety of applications.

Common Uses: Mullein is commonly used to treat respiratory conditions, including bronchitis, asthma, and coughs. It is also often used topically to soothe and heal skin conditions, such as eczema, psoriasis, and wounds.

How to Use: Mullein can be brewed as a tea or used to make a tincture. To make a tea, add 1-2 teaspoons of dried mullein leaves or flowers to a cup of hot water and steep for 10-15 minutes. To make a tincture, fill a jar with fresh or dried mullein leaves and flowers, cover with alcohol, and let sit for 4-6 weeks before straining and using.

Warning Signs: Mullein is generally considered safe for most people when taken in recommended doses. However, some people may experience allergic reactions to mullein. Additionally, mullein should not be used by pregnant or breastfeeding women.

Warning for usage with other herbs and pharmaceutical agents: Mullein may interact with certain medications, including blood thinners and diabetes medications. If you are taking any prescription medications, be sure to talk to your doctor before using mullein.
